Bantwal, Oct 14: Carmel College, Modankap celebrated 'Hindi Divas' with a short programme.

T V Ravindra Kumar, branch manager, State Bank of India, B C Road was the chief guest. He said that every language has its own significance bringing out emotions, feelings and culture. Hindi language is an important means of communication for many people in India, it is also an official language for many organization. He, then distributed the certificates to the winners in Hindi poem writing and essay writing competitions.

Principal Prof Sr M Supriya gave her presidential remarks. Chandrika Rao, HOD of Hindi coordinated the programme, Roshni, I BCom and group led the prayer song, Nafeesa Safa, II BCom, compered the programme, Suhana, I BCA, welcomed the gathering and Supritha S, II BCom, rendered the vote of thanks.
