Bengaluru: I will remain in Congress whether I am made minister or not – MLA B C Patil

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, Oct 12: “I am confident of getting a position of a minister during the expansion of the cabinet,” said MLA B C Patil.

Speaking to reporters at CM’s residence office Krishna, he said that senior leaders have said that there will be expansion of the cabinet after November 15 after the by-elections. “I have only expressed my feelings in twitter. I will remain in Congress whether I am given a cabinet berth or not. I will not go anywhere leaving the party,” he said.

Referring to the resignation for the post of minister by Mahesh, he said that it is a matter of elders. “I am not big enough to speak on the subject. I only visited him on Thursday to speak about the constituency. But he has resigned in the evening. It was a shock for me. As it is a matter concerning the party, elders will sit and discuss about it,” he said.

Regarding restrictions to the media in Vidhana Saudha, he said that he does not know of having targeted the media. “Chief minister Kumaraswamy will have to be asked about it. But media is the fourth arm of democracy. You cannot remain leaving us. Therefore, media should not be restricted,” he said.
