Mangaluru: ED cell lauched, entrepreneurship seminar conducted at SDM PG Centre

Mangaluru, Oct 12: “Hard work with smart work coupled with destiny will lead us to becoming successful entrepreneurs,” said D Vedavyas Nayak, MLA, Mangaluru South after inaugurating the ED cell at SDM Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research, here on October 12.

He stressed on having a vision and focus to achieve it. He also quoted that age is not a barrier to start an enterprise.

The ED Cell of the institute attempts to train and motivate budding entrepreneurs. Vilas Nayak, CMD of Hanuman Group of Concerns was the keynote speaker. He inspired the students through his own personal journey on how failure is the stepping stone to becoming a successful entrepreneur. He motivated the youth to remain in Mangaluru and contribute by becoming successful in their hometown.

The inauguration was followed by two technical sessions. Sundara Sherigara M, assistant director, MSME Development Institute, ministry of MSME, Govt of India was the resource person for the first technical session. He spoke on 'Entrepreneurial Motivation Training'.

Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, Kumble Solar Energy Solutions Pvt Ltd was the resource person for the second technical session. He spoke on procedures and norms for starting a new enterprise and gave a brief insight on MUDRA Scheme.

Director Dr Seema S Shenoy welcomed the gathering.

Staff co-ordinator Ramya Shetty gave an insight into the activities of the ED Cell.

Santhosh Patel, Yash Sharma and Sunil Kumar were the student co-ordinators.

Charishma Suvarna compered the programme.
