Bengaluru, Oct 11: Another Public interest litigation (PIL) was filed in the state high court on Wednesday October 10, seeking a direction to the Central Election Commission to stay bypoll to Shivamogga, Ballari and Mandya Lok Sabha seats in the state.

This PIL was filed by the president of Advocate Association Bangalore, A P Ranganath.

Advocate for the petitioner, D R Ravishankar, who appeared before a bench of the high court presided over by the Chief Justice on Wednesday, requested the bench to take up the PIL for hearing urgently.

But the Chief Justice, who refused to entertain this plea, wanted it to be placed before the court as per the normal listing. He advised the advocate to submit a request in this regard to the high court registrar.
