Mangaluru: Navaratri begins at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple

Mangalore, Oct 10: Mahabaleshwara M S, managing director of Karnataka Bank, inaugurated the Navaratri festival celebrations at Kudroli Gokarnanatheshwara Temple on Wednesday, October 10.

The idol of Sharada was carried in a procession at the temple premises accompanied by tiger dance and bands before being installed at the Shree Gokarnanatheshwara Kalyana Mantapa.

A special puja and community feast will be held every day.





Cultural programmes will be organized every day from 6 pm onwards.

The grand immersion procession will begin at 4 pm on October 19 from the temple premises.

Mangaluru Dasara will be inaugurated by Karnataka chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on October 14 and Gokarnanatheshwara health card will also be released on the occasion.

During this Navaratri festival, cultural events will be held from October 10 by various artistes.

Janardhana Poojary, temple president H S Sairam, vice-president Raghavendra Kulur and others were present during the inauguration.
