Mangaluru: Orientation programme for first year MBA, MCA, MTech students held at SIT

Mangaluru, Oct 5: Orientation program and welcome of first year MBA, MCA and MTech students of Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT) was held on Thursday, October 4 at Merlapadavu campus, Mangaluru.

The formal function was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries on the dais along with newly joined students and parents.

Principal of the college Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, presided over the function and addressed the gathering. In his address he emphasized the importance of education as well as explained about the placement for MBA, MCA and MTech from the college, He also spoke about career opportunities available for both the courses.



The head of MBA department Dr Ajoy S Joseph briefed the new entrants and parents about details of academics, facilities, library, laboratories, and general discipline of the college and also introduced department faculties to the students.

The Head of MCA department Dr Shashidhar Kini K gave information on importance of higher education and explained the details of MCA course and facilities available in the college also about career opportunities for MCA.

Many of the parents and newly joined students expressed their opinions and expectations from the college and also about their satisfaction with the infrastructure and facilities being provided in the college.

Dr Radhakrishnan K, department of MBA welcomed the gathering and Prof Girish Kunder, department of MCA rendered the vote of thanks. Prof Steevan Robert Tellis was the master of ceremony of the programme.
