Muscat: Oman Bilawas celebrates Shri Satyanarayana Pooja and Sri Narayana Guru Pooja

Muscat, Oct 5: Oman Bilawas celebrated annual Shri Satyanarayana Pooja and Sri Narayana Guru Pooja in a grand manner on September 21 at Sri Krishna Temple, Darsait. People of all communities participated in the event in large numbers and sought blessings of the almighty. They offered Bhajan, Kende Vadana, Mahapooja and accepted Mahaprasadam.

A beautifully created miniature replica of a the entrance gopuram of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Temple bearing the image of Sri Narayan Guru was the prime attraction of the occasion. This is part of Oman Bilawas’ efforts to bring together the Mangalorean community residing in Sultanate of Oman and preserve the community’s age old traditions.



As an organization with socially commitment, Oman Billawas has also recently extended its annual scholarship program and provided financial assistance to over one hundred poor students. It has also rendered timely help to the community members during emergencies and in times of adversity.

Oman Billawas plans to organize Pooja and Dandiya dance programme during the Navarathri festival.
