Adhvithi Shetty to play pivotal role in short movie titled 'Mahaan Hutatma'

Mangaluru, Oct 3: Adhvithi Shetty will now be seen in a short movie titled 'Mahaan Hutatma' which revolves around life of Bhagat Singh, directed by Sagar Puranik.

‘Mahan Hutatma’ is a tribute to everyone who fearlessly protect the country and dedicate their entire lives for freedom.

Mahan Hutatma is a story that showcases the kind of will power that people who fought for our country and is an acknowledgement of and heartfelt gratitude to their sacrifice.

The star cast of ‘Mahan Hutatma’ includes Akshay Chandrashekar, Pranayaraja Srinath, Sagar Puranik, Achintya Puranik, Varun Srinivas, Kuldeep, Manoj and Shashi Kumar.

Adhvithi Shetty is the daughter of Yathiraj Shetty and Nanda Y Shetty from Bejai. Adhvithi is an alumnus of St Aloysius College and Manipal Institute of Management.

Adhvithi was crowned as ‘Miss Mangalore Beauty Hair’ in 2013 and ‘Miss Grandeur’ in 2014. Adhvithi Shetty is also seen in ads for Vasan Eye Care, Flipkart and Clean India.

Adhvithi Shetty made her debut in Kannada blockbuster ‘Mr and Mrs Ramachari’ along with her twin sister Ashvithi Shetty starring Yash and Radhika Pandith. Later the twin sisters were seen in ‘Suli’. Adhvithi was also seen in a prominent role in Kannada flick 'Dodmane Huduga' and in a daily soap 'Eradu Kanasu'.

Speaking to daijiworld.com, Adhvithi Shetty said, "To be honest, it is not a short movie because of its making, quality, camera work and the amount of hard work put forth by the artists in a frame makes it look like a feature film. 'Mahan Hutatma' narrates a story about Bhagat Singh and its one of the best experience that I have had because of the role I have played of Durga Bhabhi. The role is something very powerful and matured.”

She also said, "I play the role of Durga Bhabhi who is one of the important people during Bhagat Singh’s freedom fight. She gave up everything to fight for her country. Durga Bhabhi is very special role which I cannot forget in my life. It is not very glamorous and I really loved my look in this short movie.”

When asked about the reason to opt short movie, Adhvithi said, "I don’t differentiate between feature film and a short film. The reason to opt this short movie is the character I had to play. I think very rarely as an actor you get to do such characters. So I decided to take up this project. Director Sagar Puranik showed confidence in me that I can play this character. Even the technical team, the quality and their ideas made me to take up this project. The short film will be releasing soon, before the release we will send this movie to international and national awards. Once it releases, everyone will be surprised to see the content because of the quality and camera work.”

She also said, “After the success of ‘Mr and Mrs Ramachaari’ people recognise us for that role which was a big difference. The amount of support and love that we get from the audience did not made us to look back and so far it’s going really great. “

Speaking about future project, Adhvithi said,"The teaser of Kannada movie 'Girgitle' will be releasing on October 18 and film is expected to release in the month of November. Kannada movie ‘1888’ and ‘Karmoda Karidu’ is under post production, apart from that other projects are yet to be signed.”

When asked about garnering huge fan following, Adhvithi Shetty said, "Being a normal girl finishing her education in MBA and working as an HR and getting into this field has changed my life in a big way. I have received lot of love from the people, in Instagram I have family of more than one lac members which is huge one for me being a normal girl who had nothing to do with film.”
