Mangaluru: Vikas PU College celebrates International Non-violence Day

Mangaluru, Oct 2: Vikas Pre-University College, celebrated International Non-violence Day and birth anniversaries of both Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on Tuesday, October 2.

D Vedavyasa Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru City South, inaugurated Swachh Bharat Abhiyan programme and addressed the gathering and said that following the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi must not be confined only to his birth anniversary but it must be followed throughout one’s life and he also appreciated the students and staff of Vikas PU College for their active participation in cleaning the college premise and surrounding areas.



Krishna J Palemar, chairman, Vikas Education Trust, said that Vikasians believe in following such ideology and try to inculcate service mindedness and social commitment in students.

Trustees J Koragappa, Suraj Kumar Kallya, Dr Ananth Prabhu G, advisor of Vikas Edu Solutions, Parthasarathi Palemar, coordinator, Vikas Group of Institutions, Dr Manjula Rao, counselor and Dean, Vikas Group of Institutions, Principal Prof T Rajaram Rao, and Ayshwarya Rao, Commerce in-charge, participated in the programme along with teaching, non-teaching staff and students.
