Bengaluru: Congress tries to woo Jarkiholi brothers with 141 transfers

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Sep 14: A total of 141 officials from the department of municipal administration were transferred by the state government on Wednesday September 12. This was said to be an effort to make municipal administration minister, Ramesh Jarkiholi, happy.

Jarkiholi, who is angry at the Congress party and the coalition government, had also been distressed by the interference of minister D K Shivakumar, in the district politics of Belagavi. Top leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and Dr G Parameshwar had spoken to him and promised to make amends.

One of the complaints of Ramesh Jarkiholi, it is said, was that the lists of transfer of officials he had prepared after taking over charge of the said department, had not been approved. Sources close to Jarkiholi said that these transfer orders were affected to meet the demand put forth by Ramesh Jarkiholi.

Those transferred now include 53 chief officers, 14 assistant executive engineers, seven project directors, an executive engineer, eight organizing officers, eight accounts superintendents, 36 assistant engineers, and eight environment engineers.

Transfer of officers at their whims and fancy is equal to corruption. They should be ashamed to demand their needs in public. Moreover, politicians have rough skins, whatever the scandals, allegations, shameful acts and public spitting on them they just do not bother like rock to a heavy rain and try to show that they are the heroes. Have ever hear a politician committing suicide for involving in big scandal where as commoners die out of shame for silly things.
