Belagavi: U T Khader tops list after availing Rs 1.5 crore on travel

Daijiworld Media Network

Belagavi, Sep 11: An RTI questioning travel expenses of ministers in former chief minister Siddaramaiah’s cabinet reveals that then Health minister UT Khader has availed the maximum allowance costing Rs 1,56,08,590.

An RTI reply to activist Bhimappa Gadad reveals that Siddaramaiah’s cabinet spent Rs 24 crore as travel allowance during the previous five-year Congress term.

After Khader, former Forest minister Ramanath Rai has availed travel allowances of Rs 1,52,36,321 and Law minister T B Jayachandra stands third on the list by availing Rs 99,72,041.

The then state government had allotted Rs 30 per km for travel and a daily allowance of Rs 2,000 per day for travel within Karnataka and Rs 2500 outside Karnataka.

Gadad alleged that the ministers used tax payer’s money for personal comfort, which could have been instead spent on development works. All ministers’ travelled on luxury cars, he told media.

Khader Bhai, we are with you. We have no objection even if he spend another 1.5 crore on travel as the amount is spent for development of people and the state, unlike feku remaining always on travel mode and looting the nation. Feku's travel is like Venku Panamboor story.

    Hi ,
Where does it say that if you live in the US , your English needs to be good. The Americans themselves are pathetic when it comes to spoken and written English( its just an accent that impresses you maybe). By that Logic , many in this forum, in spite of living in India which is full of culture and humility are still devoid of any and have exposed this with cheap comments many a times.

Just for your info - your small sentence above is also not correctly framed....

Here's how much Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign tours have cost the public exchequer.
As of June 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made foreign trips to 84 countries across six continents in official capacity. He has visited major countries such as China, South Korea and several smaller countries such as Fiji and Seychelles.
Total of Rs 1,484-crore was spent on chartered flights, maintenance of aircraft and hotline facilities during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visits to 84 countries since June 2014, according to the government.
Modi made five trips to the US and China, which is the highest made to any country. His visits to a number of countries were for summit meetings.

When comparing to the foreign investment against travel expenses of PM Modi, Minister UT Khader is performed better.
In my opinion he should have continued as Health portfolio rather than his present status. Above all he his more reachable to the common man than Prime Minister.

Let them put a RTI appeal on expenses of Nalin Kumar and also the so called development works he did.
Khader travelled extensively and worked hard to stabilize the rationing system of the state and fixing the primary health Centers of the state.
Khader worked selflessly and nobody can be par with him.

Again see the hypocrisy of BJP and their narrow minded mentality!!!
If Modi spends tax payers money....he is God for Andh Bhakts and others spend... they are up in arms.
At least for the last 60 years most of the time truth prevailed so that Modi like a chaiwala could become the P.M and from last 4 years after Modi & Shah ruling in India even.... educated, scholars and activists, judges and historians and added to that the famous news anchors the one's which are not sold to BJP will be remembered in history!

The BJP is the one who looted hundreds of thousands of the middle and lower class Indians through Demonetisation and helped the bank looters(Crony Capitalists) who have taken Bank Loans and not repaid are the ones who helped BJP to come to power.

All well planned give & take policy.

Even they didn't spare Raghuram Rajan or the Supreme Court Judges!.

FEKHU's Acche Din slogan from 2014 to "Ajeya Bharat" "Atal BJP" is changing in 2018 national utive meeting.

"Make in India" is gone by the winds like the "India Shining" then ...so is Modi too will perish and disappear from Indian Politics (same like L.K. Advani) by 2019 elections even if he uses all looted (Demonetisation) money for 2019 election propaganda!

    Jai Hind.
