Mangaluru, Sep 8: With the Tulu film industry booming and developing faster than any other field; it is giving a tough competition to most of the Kannada movies too. One such movie that is waiting to be the blockbuster of the year is ‘Kambalabettu Bhatrena Magal’.

With more than half the crew being new, they are ready to bring some freshness to the otherwise cliché Tulu movies. One such new talent being launched in this movie is the villain - Gagan Alva. He has got great ambitions and just like his name, aims for the sky with his work.

So what's the story behind this hunk? Let us find out.

So Gagan, tell us a little about yourself. What do you do? What do you love?

By profession, I work as a software engineer at HP and was even a model before, but now I have chosen acting as my main stream. I am also a very passionate motorcyclist and am the proud founder of Battalion Bikers.

From a software engineer to an actor! Since when did you develop this interest towards acting?

I had studied BCA, so becoming a software engineer was my choice. But actually confessing, I never really thought that I would act in a movie or become an actor. I was introduced to acting through dubs mash videos and started enjoying it all. I am still professionally a software engineer and still didn't face any problem for the shoot because HP had been really supportive about it and gave me the time to finish my whole project to which I am really grateful.

How did you come across this movie?

There is a long story behind my journey to being a part of this movie. This is being directed by Sharath S Poojary who was my roommate when I first landed to Mangaluru to kick start with my first job. Later, I was approached to do a negative shade in his first debut movie.

Who else were the new comers in this movie except for you?

The entire team of my upcoming bilingual movie is filled with newbies like Rashmitha, Aishwarya, Lavanya, Sharath, Pradeep, Shailu and many others. Well known comedians of Tulu Nadu, many other senior actors along with Ramesh Rai are a part of the project. There is a huge star cast with too many artists, but everyone plays an equally significant role in the movie.

How did it feel working with the established actors of Tulu film industry?

It was a great experience and I think I have never been nervous at any time. I was always supported and motivated seeing people work around me. My director, whom I would rather call my buddy, always helped me gain focus in whatever I acted in the movie.

And how was the overall experience? Overwhelming?

As I was just a mere viewer before, I used to watch all the movies and pass reviews and critics about it around my family and friends. But when I got into my first movie I realized that the real thing is not what the reels show, but it is the fruit of the efforts each and every one puts into the movie. I have gained lot of knowledge by just observing and there is still a lot for me to learn because this is just the beginning.

What is your future plan?

I had the ambition to be a MotoVlogger, and influence people by showing the untouched beauty of India. So if time and money allows me, then definitely one day I would love to pursue it. But as of now, I have started my physical fitness training. So if somebody calls me for a movie after seeing my performance in KBM, I am all ready for more action!
