Government buses should have dominated the dakshina kannada roads at the very beginning in 70's then there would have been no chance for private operators just like north karnataka & bangalore side.
sadly nothing can be done about it its too late..

One good thing is ,thank God was no danger to life .God knows how the condition of bus was .was it in good condition, is a question.second as we see the road it was raining, and by such weather ,driver must consider aqua planning and drive the bus according to the weather.sometimes due to rain ,some mud also falls on road.so can slip easily. Most probably bus was racing ,so couldnt control when slipped. Many times they dont drive but race to get more passengers, to reach early.etc.Hope the injured get well soon .wish them all the best.what we see underneath the bus is it the red part ,rost ?

Steering jam, brake fail and tyre burst. All the reckless private bus drivers say one of these after accident. In reality over speeding and disregard to other road users are real reasons many a times.

I think the problem lies somewhere else.
How did this driver get a license to drive a bus? Does the inspector taking his driving test is a good driver himself?
I have seen policemen driving without using the dipper. So what can we expect from the people who are issued licenses by such people?
I think getting a driver's license is the most easiest in India. A root cause for the alarming rate of road accidents.
And to add to it, the penalties imposed for rash or intoxicated driving or violations is peanuts, which anyone can easily get away with.
If our government and administration is seriously thinking about making our roads safe, they seriously need to look at other developed countries and how they manage their road safety.

Thank god our people got saved in this rash driving. Why these drivers become the cause of others death or injuries? How they can live peacefully?

They don't only take the curses of the passengers but also from their family members/friend circle etc etc.

If one objects to the rash driving of a bus driver these bus people go on immediate strike. They dont follow rules. The drivers dont care as they have a strong union.

What the bus owners association President is doing. Simply attending the Phone In Programme. Why our traffic police is inviting him for that programme? When he can not control the drivers , keep him out.

Over speed and high beam lights are the main cause of the accident.Must ban using high beam lights in night time. Its make you full blind.

After over speeding and 25 passengers are injured due to the utmost negligent of both driver and conductor, end of the line always reads " rural police have registered a case in this regard.".

No accountability, no action, nothing. Case will be pending in the court for years.

At least up to the case is pending, can the traffic authorities, can they forfeit the drivers licence.
