Dr Ronald Anil Fernandes appointed member of KPSC

Bengaluru, Jul 12: Dr Ronald Anil Fernandes, senior editor of Deccan Herald and activist, has been appointed as one of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) board members here on Wednesday July 12.

Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and governor of Karnataka Vajubhai Vala appointed him as the member of KPSC.

Ronald is a recipient of prestigious Sarojini Naidu Award-2009. He was also conferred Karnataka Media Academy award for the year 2016.

He is also a recipient of Fr Luis Carrenho Award in 2011 instituted by Indian Catholic Press Association New Delhi and Rajyotsava award. He has been working as the Mangaluru bureau chief of Deccan Herald, a daily newspaper, for several years.

He is presently the president of Mangaluru Press Club.
