If Police and Fines are strict everything will be al right. Unfortunately our police are also thieves. That's the reason there are no strict laws.

look at the fate. came to see his brother who tried to commit suicide and this gentleman died. What a fate and a tragedy. Reason could be anything... reckless driving of he bus driver.... or as usual two wheelerists now a days... may be super fast as having his girl friend behind... it's common now a days... that 2 wheeleists put their life in other's feet while driving... very very reckless driving... that's whay I don't know the reason.... but Very unfortunate to a young couple . RIP.

If you wear a properly certified , strapped helmet , if yoir heat hits the road, you will not die.
In all likely hood people of.kumdapur in general do not.wear helmets.
Helmet enforcent - only seen inside Mangalore city.

You do not wear helmet because of traffic police but wear to minimize the risk.

In Mangalore too people wear helmet only when and where they are likely to encounter police. Most of them just wear helmet with the strap hanging loose which is as good as no helmet. I wonder why police too simply ignore this. In case of an accident the helmet will fly off even before the person falls off the two wheeler. It's ridiculous.

Read the news again, it was his bro who attempted suicide and not him. the photo says the young man was riding too fast and couldn't avoid the bus as it shows bus is out of the road giving way to avoid hitting him. RIP young man and speedy recovery to the young lady.
