Bantwal: Case filed against owner of new auditorium for traffic obstruction

Daijiworld Media Network - Bantwal (MS)

Bantwal, Jul 9: A case stands registered against Mohammed Sagar, owner and Suleiman, manager of the new hall built at Nehru Nagar under Narikombu village near here for obstructing movement of traffic with an ulterior motive.

The case was registered at Bantwal town police station

The first programme in the newly constructed hall was held on Sunday, Jul 8 and the said issue cropped up on the first day itself.

The attendees, who had come to participate in the programme at the hall, had parked their vehicles in an unsystematic manner on both sides of the national highway, which is always busy with flowing traffic. This obstructed the movement of public vehicles. Police had to struggle from 12 noon to 2.30 pm to control the proper flow of traffic.

It is said that the vehicles were parked outside on both sides of the national highway with the intention of causing chaos, even though there is ample parking space within the compound of the said hall. Police have registered the registration numbers of all the vehicles that were parked on both sides of the national highway that caused the traffic block.

This incidence is said to be an example for how the law holds the organizers of any programme responsible for the consequences arising out of the improper arrangement of parking space for vehicles while conducting a programme.

this case will not stand in court of law as the manager or owner of the hall is not holding the responsibility of controlling traffic outside his / her property if the case is registered against the vehicle owners that has something to say possibilities of getting ticketed

First they must file case against those who have given the licence to construct that hall. In Mangalore also if enough parking space in not there in such a hall MCC must not allow to make functions. Now a days it is the real problem. Everywhere money and political influence.

    Why blame auditorium owners?
Just fine anyone who parks his vehicle on road.
Are we responsible is someone comes to our house parking the car on road?

I do not understand this one. Why to drag parties here.
As said by subhodh, kallianpur , IT is right. Earlier police were supporting them and not taking any action , Come and see in and around Mangalore , how people are parking the vehicle without any sense. Most of them are KL 14 .

If the auditorium has provided ample parking space, its the people who have not fulfilled their responsibility. All are in a hurry - want to get in fast, want get out fast. If they had carried out their duty of parking their vehicles in designated area, this problem would not have come up.

Government cannot come to teach you everything. May be, it must be made mandatory to sign an undertaking while selling a vehicle to a citizen, that the buyer will abide by specific responsibilities.
