Udupi, May 17: “The people of coastal Karnataka have thrashed Congress party which had behaved in high handed manner after coming to power so that they can never raise their head in the future. Voters have responded to our call for Congress free India and treated it like dirt showing the amazing possibility of democracy. The result has shown the irrepressible trust on BJP by the people here. I express my gratitude to all the voters for their support,” stated district BJP chief secretary Yashpal Suvarna in a press release.

“The district in charge minister during his term stood for a group of fishermen’s community and caused a rift among fishermen instead of solving the problems of unscientific method of fishing among them. The fishermen community had several expectations from him as he too came from among them. But he concentrated only on his self-interest. Voters near the sea have given suitable answer to him. He was challenging that he will win with a margin of 50,000 votes but the figures were embarrassing to him to come to the vote counting centre. Raghupathi Bhat is elected as popular MLA of Udupi. The development during the tenure of Dr V S Acharya will soon be continued. Our party will serve the people giving importance to their valuable trust on us. Several projects neglected during the term of Congress will be taken up by our MLA to make Udupi a model in the state.

“BJP win in the district was because of the hard work of our workers here. The party activists have worked with the principle that BJP is not for relishing power but for social change. Therefore, I thank personally for their efforts and every drop of their sweat.

“Siddaramaiah led government had created an atmosphere of fear among Hindu activists. It supported anti Hindu community forces and was responsible for the deaths of several Sangh Pariwar activists. The government slapped unnecessary cases against several of our activists and sent them to jail. It acted as if it is a crime to speak in favour of Hindus. The chapter is finally over. BJP will come to power and Yeddyurappa will be the chief minister. Congress will have to pay the price for harassment and suppression against Hindu activists. The massive win in elections should be offered to those who were victims of communal violence and political favoritism,” he said.

The Congress party was made to lose by some of the minority community leaders taking this party to their side and telling their people to vote for them. The remaining mass of people then considered the opposition BJP as theirs & voted for them irrespective of the candidates or the development work is done. This is the main reason some of the very deserving candidates lost with great margin in this election.
There should be no division of the parties based on religion or community and the elections should be fought purely based on the merit of the candidates. All political parties for the people and the leaders are for everyone. The leaders who have won should treat all communities as equal
If this kind of dividing people branding a particular political party for a particular religion or community will continue to produce the same results in the future. This should be understood by the community leaders and the political parties in order to be fair in getting peoples support/votes

Grow up man...When congress won by-polls in Rajasthan, MP and polls in Punjab EVM was not hacked..Whenever BJP wins EVM hacking conspiracy theory starts. First try & learn to accept the defeat.

You are 100% right! This is not coincidence, machines were not hacked in all bypolls because these bypolls do not decide the fate of the governmemt, hence BJP allow congress to win so that no one can question the malfunctioning of machines.
If we need to save democracy, the only way left is 100% VVPAT slip counting.
