Mangaluru: Short circuit – Car catches fire near Jyothi Circle, no casualty

Mangaluru, May 17: A car caught fire at Jyothi Circle here on Thursday, May 17. There was no casualty. 

The front portion of the car has been completely damaged due to the fire. Short circuit is the reason for the fire, said eyewitnesses. There was also leakage in petrol tank, they said.

The car is bearing the registration number, KA 19 Z 7944, belonging to Oliver Mascarenhas of Bendoorwell.

Fire brigade personnel reached the place and doused the fire.  

Traffic police from Mangalore North controlled the situation and made arrangements for the smooth flow of traffic.
