Mangaluru: Nrityaangan to organise classical dance festival ‘Samarpan’ on Feb 3, 4

Mangaluru, Feb 2: Nrityaangan, a registered trust in Mangaluru, will organize ‘Samarpan 2018, the fifth edition of classical dance festival at Don Bosco Hall, on February 3 and 4 at 5.30 pm.

The event will be inaugurated by Soorya N Krishnamoorthy, founder-director of the Soorya Stage & Film Society, Thiruvananthapuram. S R Sathishchandra, president, Campco, Chandrahasa Rai, assistant director, Kannada & Culture, Dakshina Kannada and Karnataka Kalashree Guru Sharadamani Shekar will be the guests of honour.

Established and budding artistes, Dr Soundarya Srivathsa (Bengaluru) – Bharatanatyam, Sreelakshmy Govardhanan (Thrissur) – Kuchipudi, and Shubhamani Chandrashekar (Mangaluru) – Bharatanatyam will perform on February 3, Aishwarya Nityananda (Bengaluru) – Bharatanatyam, Himanshu Srivastava (New Delhi) – Bharatanatyam, and Shriya
Maiya (Mangaluru) – Bharatanatyam, will perform on February 4.

‘Udgam’, a talk by Himanshu Srivastava will be held on the February 4 at 10.30 am at Don Bosco Hall.

Department of Kannada & Culture, Bengaluru, Karnataka Bank and crowd funding portal ‘Ketto’, are supporting the event.
