Washington, Dec 6 (IANS): Singer John Mayer has been hospitalized in New Orleans due to appendicitis.

According to his representative, Mayer was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday to undergo an emergency surgery, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Due to Mayer's hospitalization, his band Dead & Company's concert scheduled for Tuesday has been postponed.
