Beltangady, Dec 5: After two gangs fought with sharp weapons late night on Monday December 4, four persons sustained serious injuries. This incident happened at Gerukatte in Kaliya village in the taluk.

The gangs came face to face even as people were moving around. When a gang of eight armed with swords, sabres and other weapons attacked another gang of five, people in the vicinity ran for their lives.

Tasleem, Haris, Siyab, and Hameed from Gerukatte were injured. There is information that two others also were injured. Four of the injured, whose nature of injuries was severe, were shifted to a private hospital at Mangaluru.

Allegedly, Yakub from Kappetti and his gang members, Haider Adam Safi, Abubakker, Rizwan, Irfan, Rauf, Umarabba and four others had launched this attack. It is said that the bloody attack was launched for a minor dispute.

A gang which had played cricket and was standing near the bus stand suddenly came under murderous attack. A case relating to this incident was registered in the town police station here.

    young men,suppose you want to show your dadagiri,your muscles,please go to Indian Army or go to syria.Not in village cricket players.Or fix a day and do it in a ground where you can fix some entry fees,.we all will come .and then donate this money to needy organizations.Instead of bieng good citizens ,haunting with weapons.you are no more a ideal for young generation.Shame on you.

    Cricket match and Quarrels are not new in DK.
    It looks like they came with fully prepared,most of the time it happens at cricket match venue cause wanted person would be available at match venue.

    Their fathers, uncles and elder brothers are all working in gulf and feeding them from both sides, these boys should realise how tough and hardship is the life there in gulf, working under immense heat, living in very worst conditions, away from family for years, cannot attend any family functions, festivals, just remit money for every occasion.

    Police have good relationship with these Gaanja Goondas.. I really do not know why they arrest and then leave them on very next day.. It's like mami na ella podu bathi laka aand maareyaa....

    Some people were giving lectures during.some group fight in Kundapaur last week. Hope they are around today. I Sickulars fighting against each other. Let them finish each other , earth burden will reduced. Police should not waste time, leave them for themselves. We communals should not interfere.
