Bharat Mata Ki Jay will influence politics in Goa: chief Subhash Velingkar

Panaji, Nov 13 (TOI): Former Goa Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) chief Subhash Velingkar on Sunday launched a new outfit 'Bharat Mata Ki Jay', after having broken away from RSS recently.

Velingkar said that though his new organisation is apolitical, it doesn't mean it won't going to influence politics. "Society at large should ultimately benefit from the organisation," said Velingkar, who had also formed the political party Goa Suraksha Manch following a rift with the state BJP over the issue of state grants extended to some English medium primary schools.

Bharat Mata Ki Jay will be operational in 19 talukas and across 130 panchayats from Goa and the Konkan region, he said at the organisation's launch at the hands of Swami Durganand Giri.
