Hyderabad, Nov 11: The Hyderabad cops have busted a trafficking racket, where young girls were married to rich Gulf nationals and later subjected to abuse. The cops have arrested nine people in two separate incidents.

In the first incident, the cops have arrested brothers Mohamed Mahmood Abdul Rehman Mahmood and Yousuf Mahmood Abdul Rahman Mahmood Khairi who are Bahrain nationals. In May, one of the brothers Rehman Mahmood (50) married Sameena Begum (29). The marriage was performed by Qazi Rafai at King Koti.

The girl who was taken to Bahrain was treated as a maid servant and sexually abused by both brothers. She was later sent back to India.

Sameena’s mother Kulsum Begum filed a complaint with Bhavani Nagar police on October 30. The police received a tip-off that the Bahrain brothers were returning to India to marry a minor girl from Talabkatta area with the help of the same qazi at Tolichowki on Friday.

The brothers were sheltered by hotel Safa Tower owner Barkathulla Sharif. The police raided the lodge and arrested the Bahrain nationals and rescued the girl. A case has been filed under Section 370 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code against the accused.

The Qazi, Askar Ali Rafai and lodge owner Barkathullah Sharif were also taken into custody.

In another similar case, Salma Begum lodged a complaint with the Falaknuma police on November 9 that she got her 14-year-old daughter married to an Arab Sheikh Sagharoun Salim Abdallah (64) from Oman in October 2014.

The marriage was arranged by brokers Bipasha Bee, Rahseeda Bee and Shaheen, besides two other agents Naser Bin Mahmood and Father Bin Mahmood. The Arab had paid Rs 1 lakh to the agents, who paid only Rs 60,000 to the girl’s family. The agents manipulated the girl’s documents to show she is a major and arranged a passport for her.

The Arab spent 10 days with the minor after the wedding and later sent her a visa. The girl was subject to sexual harassment and physical torture. She returned to India in March but went back to Oman in July after the Arab threatened her. She was subjected to abuse again. After the girl’s mother lodged a complaint, the police arrested the five brokers.

Clearly un Islamic, Condemnable act by the parents and so-called, money monger Qazis. Islam gives permission to the girl to choose her partner by the help of Parents, Express her wishes and to reject. Those who are doing this Should be charged with Human Trafficking.
