I love to organise events here in front of my houseon every occasion, be it Eid, Christmas, Chaturthi, Deepavali or Dasara. People from all walks of life come here, show unity and enjoy entertainment programmes. This year we received massive support from everyone. If God permits, we will organise an event in a much bigger level.”

Top eight tiger dance teams performed to show their talent in the purest form of tiger dance. The competition was judged by prominent and experts of tiger dance. Along with thousand of viewers and tiger dance lovers, many Coastalwood and Sandalwood stars, representatives of the region and prominent personalities of the city graced the competition.

Hats off to Rajesh Prabhu & the organisers, all the participants, Daijiworld & Daya (for his breath-taking photography) for organising such a beautiful Pilivesha programme. It brought back the warm memories of my childhood right up to my early working career, when we got to see and enjoy so much of the rich cultural heritage of Tulunadu. Wish I was present there, to enjoy the programme live.

Let's hope that more & more large-hearted persons/organisations like Rajesh Prabhu & Daijiworld media group continue to support & nurture these in future too. May God bless all, and may there always be peace, brotherhood & communal harmony in Coastal Karnataka.

    Dimesh P,
Piliwaysha was there even in olden days. 65 to 70 years ago I have watched piliwaysha. Several times in the year 60 and 70 different piliwaysha came to my house. Those years the famous piliwaysha group was of Driver Pili Muthappa. He was a bus driver of a company called "Mangalore Automobiles Limited" (popularly known as MA). Pili Muthappa had a huge moving cage and the small tigers (pili) used to sit or stand in that cage. Almost every year Pili Muthappa won the gold medal as his was the best group. Congratulations to the 2017 piliwaysha organizers and all the participants.

East or west, Namma Kudla is the best. Congratulations to Mr. Rajesh Prabhu sir for organizing such a beautiful event. This contest have become a stage for communal harmony. Besides it is surprise and pleasure to know that Emme Kere Friends Circle who won the title were the main attraction of the competition. and majority of members of this troupe were from the Muslim community. They mesmerized the audience with their perfection in traditional steps and received huge applause from gathering. Hats off.
As Henry Misquith,Bahrain rightly commented, first thing we need to understand that we are all Hindustani (Indians) and then comes religion. No religion whether it is Hindu, Muslim or Christian or any other religion teaches us to hate, fight or to kill each other. All the religion preaches the same, don’t hate each other, don’t kill each other, love other religion, don’t harm others, help the poor/destitute/downtrodden and live happily, respectably. When love other religion, they in turn reciprocate the same. These are all, religion based politics, and divisions have been created by man himself for their personal, individual benefits. Mostly by politicians for their vote bank. God created everyone as His children equally and then why hatredness, division, enmity, disharmony when we grow older and older.

This happens only in namma Kudla. Let the whole world know that every Indian is first Hindustani and then Hindu, Muslim , Sikh, Christian and so on. No Religion teaches to hate or to kill.
