Great pride to witness the recent performance of Konkany Khutam GVOM Finals that took place in Bahrain, a place that I landed more than 60 years ago, the place that I staged two of my Konkany Concerts at the Sacred Heart Club Hall under the banner of Mangalorean Dramatic Association.

Konkany language and culture has reached a long way in the Persian Gulf region thru the great efforts of so many Konkany stalwarts who have given a great deal of their time and talents for the progress and prosperity of Konkany culture.

I was very pleased to notice the presence of Mr. Apolinaris D'Souza on the Bahrain stage. His favorite CDs are prominently paying regularly in my humble home in Texas along with many other prominent Konkany singers.

One of these years, whenever any future competition takes place in Bahrain, myself and my wife would like to grace the occasion as it will be a joy to re-visit our beloved "home away from home" for few years before we stepped on the Saudi soil.

Good luck to you all, and God bless
