Bengaluru, Sep 11: Sandalwood star and multi-lingual actor Sudeep and his wife Priya Radhakrishnan have decided to part ways with mutual consent, it has been learnt.
The 14-year marriage will end soon as the couple have approached the Bengaluru family court with mutual consent. It is said that Priya Radhakrishnan applied for divorce in the family court on Friday afternoon and Sudeep’s sister appeared on his behalf after producing general power of attorney issued to her by Sudeep.
Sudeep was in love with Priya, originally from Kerala, for many years before he married her in 2001. Sudeep has agreed to give the custody of their 11-year-old daughter to Priya. Priya will also get a settlement of Rs 19 crore from Sudeep, sources said.
In 2013, Sudeep had set up an event management company named 'Stage 360' for Priya.
Sudeep speaking to a television channel said that due to some irreconcilable differences going on for some years, it has been agreed to go separate ways and as it is a personal matter, he would not talk more on the issue.
