Mangaluru, Aug 31: Bishop of Mangaluru diocese Dr Aloysius Paul D'Souza on Monday August 31 blessed and laid the foundation stone for the new Ryan International School near the national highway at Kulai here. The new school is being established by the prestigious Mumbai-based Ryan International Group of Insitutions.

Addressing the gathering, bishop Dr Aloysius Said, "A person's life becomes complete only through education. Parents who are aware of this fact are providing their children education that would prepare them to face the challenges of globalization. They keep searching for modern institutes that can secure the future of their children. Parents who trust prestigious institutes should give up negative thoughts and mold their children into civilized, educated individuals. Educational institutes too should focus on these aspects."

Lauding the Ryan Group led by its founder and MD Grace Pinto, the bishop said, "It is praiseworthy that Grace Pinto, hailing from Dakshina Kannada district and being known the world over as as educationist, is extending Ryan International Education Institiutions to her hometown. May the dream of founder president Dr Augustine F Pinto from Neerude and his wife Grace Pinto from Bajpe to repay the debt of the people of their hometown materialize. It is a splendid project for the people of this region. May thousands of children study here and become twinkling stars of the world," he wished.

Guests of honour Fr Eugene Lobo and Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president Roy Castelino planted saplings and conveyed their best wishes on the occasion.

In her introductory address, Grace Pinto said that they have the responsibility of shaping the future of the children and it is becoming possible with the blessings of Jesus Christ.

Basti Vaman Shenoy, Eric Ozario, Louis J Pinto, architect Fazli K P of Fazli Associates, Allen Fernandes, Rohan Monteiro, Arun Mendes, Joachim Pinto, Sr Gladis, Sr Maria Goretti, Stany Alvares and others conveyed their best wishes.

Teacher Margaret Coelho welcomed, introduced the guests and compered the programme. Directors Snehal A Pinto, Sonal A Pinto and senior official Prem Shetty presented bouquets to the guests and felicitated them.

Ryan Group has hundreds of institutes in the country under the brand name Ryan International and Ryan Global Schools. The institutions provide education to thousands of students in several parts of the country and also in the UAE. All the best for Ryan Group. This will help specially NRIs and kids studying in IGCSE/Cambridge International examinations. There are scarcity of international schools in Udupi and Mangalore and I am sure Ryan International will fill that gap. Good luck guys.

I have seen the Ryan schools in New Delhi, also paid a visit to one of them a few years back.

The Bible verses are written at the walls of the schools and the students from various religious background are nurtured with divine wisdom along with their academic growth make the difference in their total personality provided in such schools.

The Ryans school system is "CHRIST" centered which makes a lot of difference.

All the best wishes and prayers.
