Mangalore/Bangalore, Oct 30: Endearing, lovable and charming voice of Mangalore, Shwetha Kamath is now all set to appear in the silver screens of Kannada Industry with a big movie, 'Kendasmpige', in what could be termed as luck by chance, while her dream still remains to be a film director apart from acting.

For the Mangaloreans and Aloysius College it’s time to applaud and feel joyful, for Shwetha aquiring space in a movie directed by star Kannada director, Soori of 'Duniya' fame. Kamath born in Mangalore, brought up in Kalasa of Chikmagalur till SSLC, later pursued her PUC and Degree in Sharada PU college and Aloysius college of Mangalore.

The latter says she was inspired by her father, late Harish Kamath for his magnanimous dressing style and her mother Sujatha Kamath, who was acting in dramas performed at lady’s club. She lamented, while talking to daijiworld about her journey to movie field that she missed her deceased father in her happy moments.

“Thanks to Shachina Heggar for persuading me to act and referring my name to a well known director of Karnataka, Dunia Soori” expressed Shwetha. However she also ushered her gratitude to Radio Mirchi where she worked for more than a year from Mangalore Branch prior she elevated to the glamour arena. She was hosting a show named Khiladi 983 in Radio Mirchi.

The debutant actor says it was an unexpected churn of event to land into cinema. Shachina Heggar, a fashion designer by profession, a good friend of Shwetha told to send the pictures to refer it to Soori’s upcoming film. The director after conducting a screen test approved Shwetha to fuse in much awaited 'Kendasampige', as a lead female character. "I never thought I would get an opportunity to act in star director's movie" she said.

Of late Shwetha has finished acting performance in the movie. “Surprisingly I gave my first shot of the movie in one take” she told proudly. The foundation of her life was invigorating, with Kamath participating in many state and national level competitions and winning many. Moreover her cheese- chilly juxtaposed voice gave her a good platform at Radio Mirchi. "It gathered rich experience working with the director", she added.

She further said she was blessed to act in the movie directed by 'Duniya' Soori. She feels the opportunity came knocking her door due to which she was forced to remain out from the direction course she applied. Her current schedule does not allow her to host radio programme in Radio Mirchi in Bangalore which she was offered by the company.

However the lead actor of 'Kendasampige', refused to talk on her role in the movie as she was committed not to speak. “It was pretty difficult to convince my family and now I am mulling to act in more movies”. She asserted that she would chose scripts carefully as against acting in random movies offered to her.
