Bangalore, Jul 7: For Kannada actress Prema, it was beginning of a new 'Jeevan'.

The Kodagu beauty, with nearly 45 films to her credit and who is better known as the lucky actress in Sandalwood world, has tied the knot with her boyfriend Jeevan Appachu who is also a Coorgi (Kodava), on Thursday, July 6.


Prema, on the lines of some well-known actresses of the yesteryear, has the credit of having stayed away from controversies and affairs and enjoys a high reputation among movie-goers, esp, womenfolk.

The alliance had been arranged by her parents, according to her family sources. The wedding ceremony, held strictly according to Kodava traditions, was attended by prominent members of the Kodava community.

Actress Prema would continue her acting career after marriage, says her mother Cauvery.

Prema has acted with all superstars including a Malayalam film with Mohanlal and Tamil actor Satyaraj.

Jeevan Appachu is a software professional. Prema’s Kannada hits include Upendra, Nammura Mandara Hoove, Yajamana, Om, Kaurava, Gajina Mane, Chandrodaya, Kotigalu Saar Kotigalu and Parva.
