Women's groups demand passage of women's reservation bill

New Delhi, Feb 20 (IANS): Different women's groups, demanding the passage of the women's reservation bill, staged a protest outside Parliament House Thursday.

"When the government can so hurriedly pass the Telangana bill, why cannot they do the same for the women reservation bill," said Ranjana Kumari, a social activist.

The protestors demanded that the bill should be passed in the present session itself.

Police detained the protestors and later released them.
