It is said that one hour time is golden time for a patient to save life in critical condition. Running and managing a Hospital is not a easy task. Hospitals should be equipped with the experienced doctors and latest technology to care and cure the patients", said Fr Patrick Rodrigues, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions.Kankanady.
He was speaking after the inaguration and blessing of the New Operation Theatre Block of the Concetta Hospital herein Kinnigoli.
He further said, "I have seen the development of the Concetta Hospital for the last 30 years. Bethany Sisters giving better service to the people of Kinnigoli and surrounding areas. He congratulated the director, doctors , medical team and staff of the concetta Hospital.
Sr Lellis B S, asst superior general of Bethany Mangalore presided over the function and inagurated the Operation Theatre Block. Fr Alfred Pinto, parish priest and Vicar Forane, of Kinnigoli Varado, blessed the premises. Sr Mariette, provincial superior of Bethany Manalore inagurated the Operation Theatre. Dr Bhaskar Kotian, medical officer of Primary Health Centre,Kemral, Devaprasad Punaroor, president Grama Panchayat Kinnigoli, Sr Dr Lelian Sequeira, ex-director of Concetta Hospital were the chief guests of the function.
Fr Alfred Pinto, while remembering the founder of the Hospital Fr Jacob Lobo, who was a parish priest of Kinnigoli Church, later handed over the Hosptial to the Bethany Sisters and said that there is a healthy relationship between Church and Hospital. He congratulated the Hospital management for giving good treatment to the patiients with a healing touch. Sr Mariette in her speech said that we are in a competitive world where people wants to give their best.We don't believe in competition but belives in co-operation. Concetta Hospital is a Hospital which not only saves the life of patinet but it gives a gentle care to the patients, he said.
Sr Lellis B.S., in her presidential speech said that the strength of a chain lies in its weakest link. The success of a Operation not only goes to the doctors but it goes to all the staff of the Hospital who co-operated for the care of the patient. Architect, contractor and electricians were honoured on the occassion. Sr Dr.Jeevitha, director of the Hospital welcomed the guest and the gatheing. Sr Sophia, nursing superintendent of the Hosptal proposed the vote of thanks.
Gretta D'souza compered the programme. Entertainment programme was held after the stage programme. The programme concluded with a family meal.
