Mangalore, Sep 4:
‘Oriyardori Asal’ has done it. At a joyful moment when Tulu film industry is completing 40 years of its existence, the success of ‘Oriyardori Asal’ apparently has given oxygen to the industry. The movie has been praised and supported by the Tuluvas not only in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi but also in Mumbai and the Gulf countries.

And now, the movie has reached a new landmark, completing 100 days of success. On September 15, a programme to celebrate the success of 'Oriyardori Asal' will be held at Town Hall at 5 pm. Actors of the movie will be present.

Over the last 40 years many good Tulu movies have been produced, and even in the days of black and white era Tulu movies had achieved few milestones. Technical qualities too were good, but it was limited.

Amidst allegations that Tulu movies these days are done only for the purpose of winning awards and do not reach the audience in general, Vijaykumar Kodialbail has proved everybody wrong with his ‘Oriyardori Asal’ which has reached a wide audience and truly provided a breath of fresh air to Tulu cinema.

With 'Oriyardori Asal' witnessing resounding success, it is not only the movie that has won, but the whole industry in itself. In places like Mumbai and Bangalore too the movie has won many hearts. Tuluvas now have every reason to smile as the movie produced in their language has even attracted those who otherwise watch only English and Hindi movies. Apart from Tulu speaking people, native speakers of Kannada, Konkani, Urdu, Malayalam, Beary have also relished the movie.
