Honnavar: Al-Hilal School Organizes Zonal Level Sports Meet

Honnavar, Sep 4: Al-Hilal High school organized a zonal  level sports event here at school premises in Manki on Saturday September 3, which will be concluded on Sunday September 4.

The programme commenced with the recitation of Quran by Abdul Mannan. In his address Jafer Sadique Shahbandari explained the importance of sports, saying sports has become a major profession in India and government is giving more importance to sports.

He further said that Indian government allocates more than Rs 700 crores per year for sports.

Later Inayatulla Shahbandari held a discussion on importance of sports, where he discussed about appointing coaches.

Speaking on the occasion Chandrasheker Gowda said there is a need of specific coaches and a separate sports ground for the betterment of students.

Addressing the gathering Sonia D said that student life is golden time in one's life and students should give importance to both education and sports.

Other speakers at the dignitaries present at occasion, who expressed their views and tips include Raju Naik, Mulana Shakeel Sukri and Sawda Maula.

Around 450 students from ten different schools in Honnnavar, Chittur and Kasargod are participating in the zonal level sports meet.

HM of Al-Hilal School A H M Mujawar welcomed the gathering where as Abu Mohammed Sauda delivered the vote of thanks. Yogesh Naik compered.
