Konkani Album

 


 

 


Walter Dantis, a well-known Konkani writer and poet is coming up with his maiden Konkani album – Jinye Rangg (colours of Life)


The songs in this unique music CD are chosen from his popular Poetry book “Nidon Podllo Gaanv” ( The sleeping village” )

Walter who has written lyrics for the popular Konkani hits like “ Vengenth dharum”, “Kirak mog peracho” etc is known for his romantic and humorous poetry and songs.

He is teamed up with a young and talented music director, composer Loy Valentine Saldanha who has been trained at AR Rehman studio and has composed Music for several short films, TV serials and Music albums.

Loy has won award for his Music for the Hindi short film “Ekgathi” and well appreciated for his promotional song for hit Kannada film Tagaru-2 etc.

 



 



 





Speaking about the Album, Walter said  "the songs in this album represents the different stages and moods of life... The childhood, youth, the everyday events of a small town... Romance,  separation etc. the 10 songs paint a life picture with 10 different shades!!

The album contains voices of some of the best known singers in the Konkani music industry and some young talents.

Nihal Tauro, Robin Sequiera, Ashwin D’Costa, Velita Lobo, Laveena Dantis, Munita Veigas, Akshada, Melwyn Antony D’Souza, Sachin Saldanha, Loy Saldanha and introducing young talent Ashna D’Silva.

The Live instruments support for this CD have been given by :

Ruben Machado - Flute

Alston Gomes - Brass, Saxophone & Clarinet

Sunil Kumar - Violin

Patson Pereira - Guitar

The eagerly awaited music album will release in November 2018.
