Sr Leena Mascarenhas UFS (60), Headmistress of St Joseph High School, Hunsur, Mysuru district belonging to Mai De Deus Church, Puttur, Mangaluru Diocese, daughter of Juliana Mary Pinto and the late Mourice Mascarenhas, sister of Sr Pauline Mascarenhas, Elias Mascarenhas and Fr Joseph Mascarenhas (Parish Priest of Kelarai Church), sister-in-law of Alzira Mascarenhas, passed away at St Mary’s Community Health Centre, H D Kote on September 18, 2019.

Her mortal remains will be brought to St Francis Xavier Church, Hunsur on Sunday, September 22 at 10:15 am for public homage followed by Mass at 10:30 am.

Funeral Mass will be held on Sunday at 3:00 pm at Maria Niketan, Bogadi, Mysuru. Mortal remains will be interred at Maria Niketan Cemetery, Bogadi, Mysuru.

Words cannot express the shock we the Sisters felt at the sudden demise of our dear Sr Leena.
At 7 pm,during our evening prayer, we get a call that Sr Leena is very serious . We began to pray the Mercy Rosary and then within no time the sad news that she is no more.
Thank you dear Leena, for being a committed, prayer, dutiful, very wise and down to earth religious with great foresight and vision in our Ursuline Franciscan family. I do cherish your beautiful memories of working together in the provincial team and as well as contributing to our General and Provincial Chapters. . May you enjoy eternal bliss.
