Fr Naveen Lewis (50), son of the late D P Lewis and Rita Lewis, brother of Nirmala / Vency, the late Vimala, Prakash / Judith, Sunila, Vivian / Preethi and Gina / Ashok, uncle of Steffi, Reewen, Andrea, Adrian, Duben and Ciara, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

Requiem Mass at Waliv on Thursday, April 11 at 11 am. The mortal remains will be taken to Juhu Koliwada parish for requiem Mass at 5 pm on April11. After that the mortal remains will be taken by road to Goa Pilar for funeral on Friday, April 12 at 3.30 pm.

Father Naveen was my dad's cousin's (Donath Lewis) son from Sastan. The Lewis family was so proud of him. He was too young to die so early. We pray for his soul to be at peace in heaven alongside his father, that he may rest in peace forever. His devotion to the church will bring him and his family great blessings. We pray for his family to have peace in this sorrowful time.

Dear Rita Aunty & Children,
It was truly the most shocking and sad news yesterday for all of us to learn the sudden passing of Naveen. No words of consolation or sympathy would lessen your grief over this tremendous loss to the entire family. We can only pray that God in his infinite mercy, rest his soul in eternal glory and bless you all with His grace and much needed fortitude.
Fr. Naveen, as much as we've seen, known and interacted with him, was the most gentle and kind soul, reminded us a lot of Uncle Donat with his looks as well as religious bent of mind. He had everything in him to make a fine priest: kindness, simplicity, hard work and prayers for one and all in every situation. It is very difficult to think that he is no more. We will miss him a lot.
