Sr M Gracilda BS of The Holy Family (77) nee Therese Gomes of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany, Mangaluru, belonging to Bengaluru Province, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 5 at 3.00 pm at Jyothi Nilaya Convent Chapel, Bangalore.

Sr Gracilda hails from Kankanady, Mangaluru, Diocese of Mangalore. She is the fifth child among thirteen children of the late Manuel Gomes and Lilly Menezes. She is the Aunt of Fr Santhosh Rodrigues (Hospet), Fr Ritesh Rodrigues (Puttur) and Fr Vinod Lobo (Bejai of Mangalore Diocese).

I learnt too late of the demise of Sr Gracilda. I feel sad she went to her creator too early. She was a joyful HAPPY religious, very loving, warm, prayerful and sensitive to the needs of others. She would make people quite homely (it coul be religious or others). She was content with what she had ans whatever she did. Had no complaints to make and adjusted with all types of religious with whomsoever she lived. I condole the Provincial, Bethany Sisters, her brothers/sisters and relatives. God grant her eternal rest. Her witnessing life is an example to be imitated. Hail family members!
