Walter D’Souza (86) (Advocate & Former Govt. Pleader), husband of the late Edda Mary D'Souza (Ex-teacher, Lady Hill Girls' School), father of Bernard / Sharon, Sunita / Jason Fernandez and Rohit / Abigail, grandfather of Johanna / Mark, Abner / Moira and Roselle/Amelia, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018.

Mortal remains will be brought to St Francis Xavier's Church, Bejai, Mangalore on Tuesday, December 4 at 2.30 pm. Mass at 3.00 pm.

Our deepest condolences on the passing away of Dad. The last of my Mother's siblings to go on his onward journey. Truly the end of an era !

I am glad that I had a chance to visit him one last time that very evening whilst I was on a brief visit to Mangalore. I am happy he was able to recognise me.
I left "Lowlands" feeling really sad to see Dad so frail and it brought back myriad childhood memories of our visits during birthdays and festivals to grannys home. Everything looked the same.

Deeply pained by the untimely demise of uncle Walter A D’Souza, my mother’s youngest brother. She loved him like her own son. When my parents married, uncle Walty was a toddler just two years older than my elder sister; hence spent many of his early years with our family.So our own lives and childhood was very much enriched because of him, his pranks and mischief and more importantly his qualities of mind and heart.
My deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to his three children, my cousins Bernard, Sunita and Rohit. While praying to the Almighty to grant uncle Walty eternal life, I also pray that his soul may Rest In Peace; and may his children and other loved ones find the strength to bear this grave loss.
