Prof Sandra, my Inspiration

Sep 5, 2020

'A good teacher explains , a superior teacher demonstrates, a great teacher inspires' This saying holds good to the vibrant and excellent teacher School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya is blessed with, Prof Sandra Lobo.

Prof Sandra who teaches Psychology makes learning fun and interesting for her students with her innate ability to understand the students' mind and behaviour. With 25 wonderful and fruitful years of teaching she indeed has inspired hundreds of young minds to achieve their dreams. She always teaches her students to think one step different from the rest; shaping creative minds and preparing the students to face the world. A woman of great discipline and values, she trains her students to be well organised in all the activities they do. On interacting with her former students who visit her, they share the extent of her impact and influence she has created in their lives and has really been a true role model to many. She addresses the problems of each of her students which also makes her a good listener and a great counsellor. She is a friend to her students and has helped and advised many in taking life's great decisions. Her great interest in the youth has helped her to conduct various research on youth and their problems. Indeed she is one in a million.

No enough words can summarize the dynamism and vibrancies of Prof Sandra who is an inspiration not just to me, but many whom she has taught and come across.

She inspires me every day and motivates me to do my best. I am truly blessed to have a wonderful teacher like Professor Sandra who is addressed as Sandra ma'am by all her students. Happy Teachers Day to one talented, elegant, admirable, cherished, honourable, efficient and responsible teacher.

Happy Teachers Day.
