Mangalore: Three-day Mega Health Exhibition at Fr Muller from Nov 6 Pics: Dayanand Kukkaje Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (RS/SB) Mangalore, Nov 3: A three-day comprehensive health exhibition called `Arogyotsava’ at Fr Muller Charitable Institutions ground in Kankanady here will be held from Friday November 6 in order to create awareness on healthcare and prevention of common diseases, said director Fr Patrick Rodrigues.
Speaking at a press meet on Tuesday November 3, Fr Rodrigues said that the institution is celebrating the decennial year of Fr Muller Medical College and thus to mark as well as make the celebration meaningful with the aim of public service the Arogyostava that will deal with all the aspects of the health is organized, he said.


The first of its kind mega exhibition will include human body, its various parts and disease causative factors with provision to clarify health-related doubts with specialists. Health education material will also be available at the exhibition venue, he said. Blood test for sugar and grouping of blood are also made available, apart from this fun-filled games and about 50 stalls to exhibit the various health-related subjects at the same venue, added Fr Patrick.
Awareness about health and hygiene, identification and prevention of common diseases and treatment, Video presentation on health-related topic, charts and power point presentations on disease development will be held. On the spot quiz contests for the public with attractive prizes and skits, puppet shows etc will be the highlights of exhibition, he explained.
“There will be no entry fees for students up to pre-university,” he said adding that most of the schools and colleges in the city were informed to visit the exhibition with many students already registering through their schools, he said.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Friday November 6 by deputy commissioner V Ponnuraj. The exhibition will be open from November 6 to 8 from 9 am to 7 pm. The entrance to the exhibition venue will be near Mahaveer circle Pumpwell on the national highway 17, another entrance gate to the Fr Muller campus. Fr Denis D’Sa, administrator of FMMC, Fr Stany Tauro, administrator of FMMCH, Dr B Sanjeev Rai, convenor of the exhibition and chief of medical services, Sr Jacinta, principal of Fr Muller College of Nursing, Dr J P Alva, dean, FMMC and Narasimha, in-charge of media relations were present.
