Dubai: Amchigele Samaj in UAE Organizes Lalita Sahasranama Chanting

Dubai Oct 31: UAE Amchigele Samaj performed Durga Puja and Laksharchana along with the chanting of Lalita Sahasranama at Karama Center Hall here on Friday October 30. Tulsi Puja was also performed on the day as the celebration coincided with the auspicious occasion of Tulsi Puja.
Sree Lalita Sahasranama is a very powerful prayer that can be chanted by one and all, and is considered especially auspicious when chanted on a Friday. Regular chanting of it with total devotion will ward off all evils and earns the blessings of the Goddess for the devotees concerned, for a long and happy life, the samaj said, quoting from the Holy scriptures.
The puja was performed for the well-being and prosperity of all mankind in general and the samaj in specific.
A crowd of 250 samaj members from all over UAE attended the puja which was performed on behalf of the samaj by Mohan Kamath and Anuradha Kamath. The puja started at 4.00 pm with Durga Puja, followed by bhajans performed by the devotees on the occasion. More than 50 lady devotees performed Kumkumarchana individually, thereby completing Laksharchana together. Each participant was provided with the items necessary for performing the puja, like Laxmi coin, plate and vermillion among others.
Anand Shanbhag co-ordinated the entire event along with Pragati Shenoy and Veena Hegde. They were assisted at the venue by Sudarshan Hegde, Anil Kamath, Gopal Prabhu, Sunil Shenoy, Anil Nayak and Ajit Nayak along with a team of volunteers like Keshav Mallya, Krishna Shenoy, Ganesh Bhat, Nagraj Kini, Rajendra Shanbag and Pradeep Kudva.
Maha Arati and Tulsi Puja were performed at 9 pm followed by distribution of prasadam. Shailesh Shenoy, vice-president of Amchigele Samaj, accepted the prasadam on behalf of the samaj. He thanked all committee members and volunteers in general and Anand Shanbag in specific for organising and conducting the event successfully.
Dinner was served at the end of the programme. The next event of the Amchigele Samaj will be the annual day celebrations that will be held on December 18 and the details will be given soon to all the members.
