Mangalore: Narendra Nayak Challenges Soothsayers to Predict Poll Results
Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SN/SP)
Mangalore, May 6: “A golden opportunity is coming the way of fortune tellers, who have the capacity to predict election results. If they are accurate, a cash prize of Rs 10 lac is on offer,” said Narendra Nayak, All India Rationalists Association president, speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday May 5.
Those interested in taking up the challenge must provide answers to various questions framed by the Association like which party or which alliance will rise to power in the country, who will become the Prime Minister, party-wise break up of seats to be won by them, who will win in places where keen contest is on, etc., he said.
The competition is open only for the astrologers, fortune tellers, palmists and other people claiming to have supernatural powers, said Nayak. All the questions should be compulsorily answered and those with 80 percent correct answers will also be rewarded, said Nayak.
The interested candidates can post or courier their answers to Narendra Nayak, 13 -9 -1220 / 2, Vitobha Temple Road, Mangalore - 575006 before declaration of results on Saturday May 16.

| Yes I agree that there are lot of Fake astrologers who makes money. but astrology is a science and one should have a good knowledege before entering into predictions. Astrology is not wrong or bad, but the people who practise in wrong way are bad. Astrology & a good astrologer is like a highway sign board who can give only directions accroding to blessings of almighty, but cant predict their own future as a surgeon cannot operate on him self. most of the astrologers fail when they try to go above god for name & fame. this people should understand one thing everything is done by power of the invisible and invincible the God. I am also an Astrologer & a Tarot reader, working in muscat and abt such a competition even I didnot know or I would have participated in Mr. Nayak''s competition |

| Mr. Alex Lobo, Bangalore /New Zealand, ‘Basava the Bull’ story is like this. If you stand close to the bull & ask a question then the bull will nodd ‘NO’ by head signal and if the same question is repeated from little distance then the bull will nodd YES. That is how they are trained to do & they are fooling the gullible people for their livelihood. |

(knoledge of future copywrite reserved with almighty god) Please dont waste your money and time on these furtune tellers. Mr. Nayak use your money to help the poor. |

| A court Astrologer predicted the death of the king within next 6 months, and the King having heard this, became weak in the succeeding days. But Pradhani of the Raj consoled the King that what the Astrologer said was not true. As a demonstration, he called the Astrologer and asked what his personal future was - answer was, peaceful for some years ahead as far as the said Astrolger was concerned. The Pradhani wielded his sword and cut the Astrologer''s head, thus proved that the prediction was wrong. |

| Last election time all the astrologers failed to predict the out come of the result miserably. Even they made the Basava the bull nod to their sayings only to be believed by the cows. Good luck this time. |

| Soothsaying is one of the many methods of fooling the people in the name of religion. It gives only the psychological satisfaction of that victim. Nobody can predict anything in this universe unless it is coincident. Narendra Nayak, you are intelligent & always look for the logistic conclusion. You protect the innocent from becoming victims, through your public awareness campaign. Well done, sir. |

| Sooth sayers do not know anything about future, most of what they predict is based on fiction. Except Almighty God no one knows about future, believing in them and relying on their words will lead us to astray. No one except creator knows about future. |

Almighty God has chosen to keep for himself the knowledge of what the future brings. The next moment and what it may bring is a divine secret of which no one knows anything whatsoever. Since knowledge of the future has always intrigued man and since people have always yearned to know what will tomorrow bring, human societies have always had some people who claim to be able to see or tell the future.
Some have enlisted the help of the stars, and they claim that the position of different stars at the moment of birth of any one person affects his life. Others have tried to "read" the palm of a person in order to discover his future. The list is endless, but all of them with the view to "read" the future of a person. In my view all these practices as means of trickery. No one can ever discover what Almighty God has chosen to keep secret.
Hence, anyone who pretends to be able to tell what will happen at any future moment is a liar who cannot substantiate his claim. The Prophet Mohamed said "Astrologers are liars, even when they tell the truth". This means that even when an astrologers say that something will happen in the future, and it comes to happen as he has described he would be telling a lie. This is because he has no knowledge whatsoever of what was going to happen.
It was only by mere coincidence that what he has said has turned out to be true. His claim of having prior knowledge of it was certainly false. Thus it is certainly false that what is normally published under the general title "Horoscope" or similar titles which indicate that future events, which affect a certain person, may be known with reference to stars and their positions. Taking any part in it, even by reading it, although one may not believe in it is illogic. Such a belief means that one accepts that another human being shares Almighty God''s own knowledge. |

| Mr. Narendra Nayak is doing a great job by challenging the astrologers, fortune tellers, palmists who claim to have supernatural powers. I am sure that none of them will come out even with 80% correct answers to his specific questions, as none of them have knowledge of unseen. |
