I agree with some comments on speeding. May be the first car was slow.second must have been speeding. What about all 200 cars!!! All of them were speeding?. No Speeding was one of the contributing factor.Other factors that contributed to this accident
1) Failed to maintain safe gap between 2 vehicles 2)Poor knowlege on use of hazard lights 3)The wet condition of road and gripness of brakes / wheels on applying them.
In General The equipment / vehicle The weather conditions and The Driver
All three Factors contributed for this accident |

| This kind of accident can only happen in this part of the world where people feel mighty driving around in too powerful cars and behaving like maniacs on the road. The people who cause such deadly accident should be treated like criminals and punished accordingly but unfortunately most of them get away with the murder of innocent people. |

| Sad that things of this magnitude could happen in today's educated and technically savvy world. People are always in a hurry and hence scope for tragedies like this. Hope this opens the eyes and attitude of drivers. Praying for them. |

| The picture indeed is best suit but the consequence definitely is devastating. It should be a lesson to the people who exceed their speed, big lane does not always ensures safety. I have been in Dubai since many years but havent seen like one. Good luck all the drivers in UAE. SAHUL HAMEED |

| This is very shocking & horrific news, Dubai being a HUB & most talked about place on the World Map, It's time that the U.A.E starts to adopt the International laws on Safe Driving, i.e. Safe distance between vehicles, Reduce Max speed limits, and should alert in the fog climate. |

| This is shame to Modern technology. The Bullock's carts are better than cars because the bullocks will scream at the time of danger sign. Without proper test and exam one who obtains the driving licence will come accros such incidences. If remote button driving comes than what would be the result ....? |

The reason I feel could have been the fact that people use their hazard lights while driving in foggy conditions which might have been misinterpreted by the cars behind. I request everyone to please avoid using hazard lights avoid speeding in such conditions.
It might not only be unsafe for you but it might even involve others too. Now that you can see it might be because of one car that stopped suddenly and others too crashed in the same. I wish UAE Govt should implement the same rule as in KSA, whenever there is foggy weather, most of the traffic police are visible on the road, they are monitoring the flow of traffic you dont have chance to speed-up or else police will catch you directly.
My prayers go the victims of this tragedy. Insha ALLAH injured people will be fine. |

| If poor visibililty, driver should follow defensive driving methods., like medium speed with fog lights ON also RTA can forecast such a bad weather conditions with the help of media / radio / sign boards. |

| This is not down to carelessness, it's down to STUPIDITY. Anyone who died doing 150kph in those conditions can rot in hell for risking, or even taking innocent lives. May they NEVER rest in peace. |

Man Made Disaster. Human Created Cars and it is the Human that is bringing in Pain and Disaster. The Atmosphere was having Thick Fog. If 50 Cars and above have met with Accident then the Speed of the Cars must have been 120 Kmph and above that too in the Thick Fog.
Once a Person gets his driving Licence he thinks that he is the KING ON THE ROAD. One cannot straighten a Dogs Tail then can we straighten a human's mentality. |

| This is a tragedy which will be remembered, people have to be very careful, in such weather conditons. Speeding is another factor in this case. This could be averted if extra care was taken. I suggest RTA should have some kind of reminder Signs ON for safty reason in such weather and people should follow strictly. I would like to share my feeling AND pain with people and their families suffered. |

After this devastating pile up accident, It is strongly recommended the Max Speed Limit to be reduced. I am really sorry for the innocent people who are involved in the pile up because of some person who cared less for the LAWS !! |

| There's no other explanation for this than that people in the UAE do not keep security distance and don't indicate on the street. I've been to 60 countries and driving style in the UAE is may be the worst in the whole world. it's like a zoo on the street there, everyday. |

This is devil's act and Satanic. People's dont care and selfish and negligent attitude. But, the innocent suffered. Even if they wanted to avoid they could not because of the pile up. Life is more important than driving at 140km per hour and that too in these conditions.
Aeroplanes cancel the scheduled flight if there is no clear visibility. Then why not us, drivers. Do we need someone to say this? Please take care and also pray for others when you are driving on the road. |

| This is really horrible. The Traffic authority day by day brings new laws people are getting enough fines for over speed etc, still it depends on the individuals they are not worried for anything, thier only intenstion to drive fast and reach soon, they put others in trouble and themselves also will be in trouble,Now whom to blame for this incident. Its untolerable pain while thinking about this. |

| What the UAE needs is the Inter-Emirates mass transportation system like railways to reduce traffic pressure. At times of heavy fog etc strong warnings by radio, police petrol including by helicopter surveilance necessary on the highways to protect lives. The good road networks are also used as low flying runways by people at times. |

| We were shocked to hear this. Please switch on your headlights while you are driving in case of fog so that the other cars can see you in front.and reduce their speed. We will pray 4 the people who are right now undergoing the surgeries and who are in a critical condition... be safe instead of sorry..... may god bless you... |
