Dubai, Jan 28: The much awaited first ever international Tulu movie 'Nirel' is all set to release on February 14 in theatres both in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. 'Nirel' being a triangular love story, it is apt to release it on Valentine's Day, said Shodhan Prasad, the producer of the movie along with co-producer, San Poojary. The timing and venue will be announced soon, they said.
The movie directed by Ranjith Bajpe will also hit theatres in other parts of the Gulf and India soon. The music of the movie has been composed by Abhishek S N, and the songs have already become a hit. Sameer Mhatre, Aditya Kudalkar and Swapnil Digde have beautifully arranged and programmed the music.
Art director Rajneesh Amin, assistant director Sachin Padil, editor Ashwath Samuel, director of photography Mani Kookal, assistant directors Neha Bangera and Ramya Rajneesh, lyricists Loku Kudla, Rajneesh Amin and Sitram Kulal are all part of the technical team of Nirel. The songs were beautifully sung and recorded by Akshatha Rao, Abhishek S N, Pramod Kumar, Shilpa Madhusudhan, Shiv Kumar and Harish Sherigar.
Daijiworld being the exclusive web partner had a brief interview with the whole unit recently. The film has been shot entirely in the Gulf and has a star cast purely and entirely selected through audition.
Star Cast Represents Major Communities of Mangalore
It is a coincidence that the star cast selected consists of various members representing most of the religions or communities from Mangalore. Be it Christians, Muslims, Billavas, Bunts, Brahmins, Vishwakarmas, Mogaveers, Padmashaalis, Devadigas, Saraswat, Amchigeles, Ganigas, Kote Kshatiryas, GSB, Theeyas, Moolyas... all are part of the movie. This gave a beautiful touch to the movie with 'Sarvadharma' participation as a one loving family.
Another greatness of 'Nirel' is that it has been shot only on Friday weekends. The entire star cast and the crew is from the UAE and from the working class. Normally they have weekends off on Fridays to relax, but the cast and crew sacrificed their Fridays for the entire year and dedicated them for this movie. The entire cast has truly made optimum utilisation of the day-offs for an important cause. They worked from 6 am to midnght with dedication and hard work.
All the cast and crew worked as a team, helping and supporting each other and putting in all efforts during the shoot, whether in the hot sunlight or in a cool environment. They never had any demand nor did they even hesitate to clean up after the shoot. Most of the time it was about sharing and caring for each other in their roles during the act irrespective of the number of takes. Even picking up the members from different areas and assembling them at the location on time was an act of true discipline.
The main star cast consists of lead actor Anoop, heroines Varuna and Deepthi, Deepak Paladka, Subhash Bangera, Rajendra Pai, Anand Salian, Vidya Shivkumar, Nindiya Prasad, Sandhya Prasad, Vishwapathi Bhat, Ravi Moleyar, Jameel Sheikh, Donald Correa, Praveen D'Souza, Vikram Shetty, Joel, Claudy, Samantha Hegde, Sanmatha Hegde, Poorvi Karkera, Srilatha Hegde, Charisma Poojary, Michelle Rego, and Yogita Salian. There are many more who have appeared in short scenes in the movie, including special appearances by Sandalwood star Ramesh Arvind in a very important scene and actress Ria D'Souza in a scintillating scene.
The other crew consists of Vivek Radhakrishna, Alfred D'Souza, Suchith Narayan and Rithesh Shetty who are professional photo shooters of Nirel, all the time clicking beautiful images along with Deepak Paladka. The pictures clicked by them have been posted on Nirel website and Facebook site.
All the team members gathered at Shodhan's house recently to celebrate the completion and imminent release of their dream project 'Nirel'. The team announced the date of release and had a scrumptous dinner arranged by the producer who briefed about the making of the movie as well as the technical greatness, a glimpse of which was shown to the members. All the members are enthusiastically waiting to watch themselves on the silver screen and are keenly spreading the news of the release to all their friends and family members living around the world.
The official 'Teaser' of the movie has been released and can be watched below. It is also available on www.Nirelmovie.com or Nirel Facebook page of the movie.
