Times Now survey: BJP to retain MP, Chhattisgarh, grab Rajasthan, Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 19 (ET): BJP will retain power in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, wrest Rajasthan from the Congress and also emerge as the single-largest party in Delhi's hung assembly, according to the projections by Times Now ahead of the upcoming assembly polls in November.

The Times Now-India TV-CVoter survey, based on a sample of 38,643 randomly selected respondents from all assembly segments in the four states, shows the BJP will manage to retain power in MP and Chhattisgarh, albeit with reduced margins, and the Congress will lose both Rajasthan and Delhi. The results, if they come true, could prove troubling for the Congress going into the 2014 general elections, while being a shot in the arm for the BJP.

The projection for Delhi shows Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party making a promising debut, winning seven seats with a 16% vote-share. The BJP is likely to emerge as the single-largest party with 30 seats, short of the half-way mark. The Congress led by three-time Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is likely to slip to 29 seats, even though 37% of the polled voters still rate Dikshit as the best CM candidate.

The Congress government led by Ashok Gehlot is also set to lose Rajasthan to the BJP, which is expected to win 118 seats, as per the projection. The Congress tally is expected to fall to just 64.

By contrast, BJP, according to the survey, is expected to win 47 seats in Chhattisgarh and 130 in Madhya Pradesh. Congress will improve its tally to 40 in Chhattisgarh and 84 in Madhya Pradesh, but not enough to bring it to power.

Who is justifying Godhra? It is a very heinous crime committed on innocent sleeping passengers. However what was required then was justice, an efficient Chief Minister would have hounded these criminals and brought them to justice and seen that they were meted out the harshest of punishments. If Modi had done that, he would have been a nationwide hero today and not a divisive person hated so much. Instead he chose to seek revenge on other innocents and orchestrated the riots himself and had hundreds killed for no fault of theirs. They were as much the victims as the innocent victims of Godhra. The act in Godhra was committed by criminals, but the post Godhra riots were conducted by the very people who were supposed to be the guardians and protectors of society.

Jossie, Joseph,Declan and many others don't any defense. They cannot defend congress corruption, or congress rule of 10 years to the BJP rule of 6 years or development in BJP ruled states or recent survey of poll results. They just have one slogan one is 2002 riots and feku said there is no power cut in Gujarat, actually it is not fake..

10 years of rule is more than enough for a party to prove its efficiency, but lost its credibility when they pass food bill at the end of their tenure for election benefits. Corruption, blackmailing, misuse of CBI were became the mool mantra for them.
So we need a change.

To be frank, people are fed up with corrupt and scam filled Congress. BJP is a good party filled with wrong people and advised/guided by wrong groups who are using religion as main card to fool people. Modi, certainly not a suitable PM candidate. He will break India in to pieces. Every neighbor will be each others enemy. Of course, only China and Pakistan will benefit under his rule, as their goal to break India will be fulfilled without losing anything from their end. Leave religion aside and BJP will be the best political party in India. Jai Hind.

So many riots have happened in indian history. All have been forgotten and only 2002 riots are kept alive in memory of people by media to serve some vested interests.
You can mark my word, after Modi's elevation there will be better peace and harmony in the society and definately India will develop.

Jude, Mangalore Dubai
Thursday, September 19, 2013

The difference my dear is that in all riots the government did not take action to stop them which is wrong, but in the 2002 riots the planning and engineering of the riots was done from the very top, in the offices of the person who is now aspiring to be the Prime Minister of the country. They were organized by the state just for revenge and out of hatred for another community.

Crude oil prices went up 300% from 11$ in 1998 to 37$ in 2004, in 6 years. Which means about 50% increase every year.
Crude oil prices went from 37 in 2004 to 87 in 2013, which is 250% in 9 years, which means 27% increase only every year.
So in short, NDA faced 50% per year rise in crude oil prices, whereas UPA did only 27%.
While NDA managed to bring down food inflation from 9% to 4%, the latest data shows a decade high from 4% to 18.18% food inflation.
Clearly there's no doubt about who managed it better.
Whenever we purchase a soap or tooth brush or anything, we always get attracted to the one which gives something "free" along with. No matter if that is useless. Even McDonald's thrive on attracting the kids by giving them those toys. This is human psyche.
Since the NDA didn't give promises of free income or free loan waiver or laptop or wheat n rice, they lost.

Congress doing their best attempt to keep their main vote bank Muslims far away from BJP by brainwashing them and creating a sense of Insecurity if BJP comes to Power. But day by day Muslims have started to adopt Modiology and they know we live a normal communal harmony Under BJP rule as well. It depends on us not the politicians to divide us. Congress and its friends are desperately instigating riots and then blaming it on opposition. Khangress cannot exploit poor people for long. Khangress will be responsible for lot of labour problems in India by giving freebies for working capability people. Modi will look upon creating more jobs than freebies. Reservation & freebies should only be on economic basis and not on caste like how congress is adopting.
