"Consumer Products" is a broad spectrum that includes anything and everything that we consume in our every day life. India with a diversity of population and diversity of cultures is perhaps the best country where the word "CONSUMERISM" will and should get the best momentum.

With the growing affluence and with the growing generations, people have more money to spend in India for more goods and consume more in life for progress of themselves and their families. Consumerism paves way for more manufacturing, more production and more distribution and consumption.

Consumerism vitalizes the economy thru more job opportunities and more money in circulation.

The only important and most valuable fact that India need to take into consideration is the focus on "QUALITY" of products in line with the quantity and diversity of products. This is exactly where the Government has to step in with clean hands and strong hands and make sure that quality standards and quality specifications are totally and unconditionally adhered to. There is no room for deviation.

If at all China has become a most sophisticated, successful and abundant in their production, distribution and marketing their products and services, it is only because of their discipline and consistency in their quality as well as their pricing and also the currency. For instance, the Xmas season with billions (one billion dollar is equivalent to six thousand five hundred crores of Indian rupees) of dollars worth of Chinese consumer goods are already in display in most of the Malls and Shopping Centers of America. That requires planning and programming indeed.

Consumer products from India can flourish the local as well as the world markets, but the "QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY" are the words of Hallmark that every Indian need to take into their heart and into their mind in order to make the spirit of consumerism effective and make the economy vibrant and long lasting. The items sold at the exhibition in general are of sub-standard unimpressive.

Good for those who have no access to quality goods.
