Karkala: Taluk level Kabaddi tournament held at Sanoor

Karkala, Aug 21: The Taluk level Kabaddi tournament for primary school students was held at St Joseph aided school in Sanoor on Tuesday August 20.

The programme was presided by Karunakar Kotian, gram panchayat president.

In the boys category, Bailoor BEM higher primary school bagged the first place, Dr Nitte Shankar Adyanthaya memorial aided higher primary school, Bolakodi bagged the second spot.

In the girls category, government higher primary school, Muniyaalu bagged the first place while B M A higher primary school Muroor secured the second place.

The prizes for the winning team were sponsored by Sanoor Vijay bank.

Madhusudhan P Rai, manager of Vijay Bank Sanoor, Mohan Das G Prabhu, school convener Alex D’Silva, Simon D’Souza, Sudheer Nayak, Babu Poojary, Annappa, Umesh Bajagoli, Sanoor Shambavi sports and cultural association president Ramesh Shetty and school teachers were among others present on the occasion.
