Mangalore: Poojary calls Modi 'Hitler', says his visit to state is gain for Congress

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (VM)

Mangalore, Apr 29: Former union minister and Congress leader Janardhan Poojary on Monday April 28 termed Gujarat chief minster Narendra Modi a 'Hitler' and said his visit to the state for campaigning for BJP was a gain for the Congress as people of the state 'know Modi's background'.

Addressing a press meet at Congress party election office on Monday, he said BJP ministers are known for corruption in the state. Commenting on Modi's speech in Bangalore, he said, "Before preaching others, a person should first be a role model to all. Modi tells his party is clean and points out at Congress for corruption. Everyone knows what Modi is and the condition of BJP government in the state."

On the volume of corruption in Modi’s government, Poojary said as per the report by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), the Gujarat government has cheated people of nearly Rs 580 crore.

"The major corporate houses to which the Modi government played the role of benefactor included Reliance Industries limited (RIL), Essar Steel, Adani power limited and others," he added.

"When it comes to corruption, Narendra Modi is not less than former chief minister Yeddyurappa. In fact, he is Yeddyurappa's younger brother," he said.

Slamming Modi's statement that no one in Congress is capable of becoming chief minister, Poojary clarified that as per the Indian law, the name of the chief minister is not announced beforehand.

"We do not have a presidential election like the USA. In our country chief minister and the President are not elected by the people, rather, the chief minister is elected by majority party’s MLAs who win the assembly election and their recommendation is later sent to the governor," said Poojary, adding, "Modi does not have common sense."

On the statement made by Modi that Delhi was not safe under UPA, the former minister said, "When L K Advani was the home minister, terrorists had attacked the parliament, and it could not be stopped by the NDA. In another incident when NDA was in power, terrorists had entered the Red Fort and even killed two soldiers."

He further added, "Modi claims that the BJP is working on uniting the people, but their party has not given tickets to Christians or Muslim candidates for the assembly election." He also lambasted Modi for commenting on Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party.

Speaking on the recent Congress public meeting in the city addressed by Sonia Gandhi, Poojary said the turnout was good despite several hindrances. He said Congress party had submitted the names around 3,000 new voters before the last date, which was rejected due to technical error by the election authorities. "The mistake was not committed by us and hence I urge the returning officer to probe the matter and accept the new voters," he said.

Modi relates to Hitler to a large except the settings, back are different Tell me which book have you read on Hitler. In libertarian entity Hitler was single person autocrat. Be it BJP or the Parliament,Modi is showing the tendency to become autocrat. Modi has used the media/Sm?Propaganda to create halo around him. and soem ppl in BJP believe that BJP will be done with without Modi. But as voters we are forgetting the lessons taught by history. 2002 was pre-planned and as per RSS/VHP?Bajrangdal Diktat. Whyat is the guarantee that it will not repeat. Despite reverting 1984, what answer does BJP have for 2002 massacre.
I will keep in touch with if at all you are good to interact.

Look whos talking, Mr. poojari you lost your previous election against a novice candidate. Our Modiji stands tall you are just a wastage in congress. so dont shout & give unnecessary statements to be in the limelight.

N.M, Mangalore
Monday, April 29, 2013

@ Ravi... Poojary may have lost against a novice but on second thoughts most Mangaloreans realize that they MADE A MISTAKE of voting for Nalin who has till date has neither raised a question or debated in parliament. What a waste!!!!

His performance and attendance in Lok Sabha as a MP is dismal, even worse he does'nt seem to understand the functioning of Parliament.. Its like "GADHE KO HAATHI PE BITAANA" .

One gets a feeling that Poojary would have represented us well in New Delhi.

BUt UNFORTUNATELY, In Mangalore all a person needs to do is wear a saffron shawl and ask for votes and he will win. We love voting for people who wear saffron instead of voting for those who are truly capable.

Last heard from Nalin.... he has lost interest in Lok Sabha related duties... he is better off being a corporator.

The problem with Modi is that he uses the same old Rhetoric - 'Madam Italy' and 'Baba Rahul'. Honestly, it does not sound nice when its coming from a National Leader like Modi.

Modi believes in targeting families and educated & civilized Indians find it cheap and unacceptable. Eg. 50 crores wife of Tharoor etc.etc.

What kind of an example is this fellow gonna set to the new crop of politicians? Its OK to highlight Congi scandals..... but why NOT talk about BJP's pathetic administration OR thousands of crores worth Iron ore mining scam OR Blue film watching episode OR Halappa raping his friends wife?

I believe only low minds discuss people.Modi does'nt have the stature to become a PM. Maybe Jaitley is a better option.

Surendra Bantwala, Bantwala
Monday, April 29, 2013

Ismail,
BJP is not devided 2 groups. By the way Core committee meeting not yet decided PMs candidate. Undoubtedly he is famous Leader as PM candidature. It is easy to PMs in BJP core Committee.
CAG is certainly involved Congress leaders like Manmohan Singh not Modi.

N.M, Mangalore
Monday, April 29, 2013

Modi honestly is a pariah in BJP as Rajnath himself said Modi is a popular leader but might not be a PM. The Delhi based BJP leaders would like to jump on to PM's seat and leave the man from Gujarat in Gandhinagar itself.

I think Internet karsevaks need to realize that BJP walas want to side line this fellow because of his hardliner and radical ideas.

Surendra Bantwala, Bantwala
Monday, April 29, 2013

N.M. now internet KaiSevaks also faces Internet Karasevakas. But still BJP is united by Modiji and Rajnath Singhji . They where not sidelined any body. There is no two groups in BJP. BJP is now very Strong. We are happy to hear the speeches of Modiji.

N.M, Mangalore
Monday, April 29, 2013

Dear Surendra,
BJP is a divided house...the fact to back this claim is that Rajnath himself has said that Modi is popular but PM...doubtful.

The bigwigs from New Delhi would like to keep this man confined to Gandhinagar while Jaitley, Sooshma etc etc. will make merry in Delhi.

Modi on the other hand had hired PR companies to boost his image and hired internet karsevaks to influence voters online...But majority of the liberal minded Indians would be sceptical about voting for a hardliner.. Till then he can only spew venom.
