Mangalore: Girl goes missing after prayer service at Valencia Church

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore

Mangalore, Mar 2: A girl who had been to attend church service with family on February 26 reportedly went missing from the church premises.

The girl has been identified as Denita, daughter of Joachim D'Souza from Bantwal.

Joachim along with his wife and daughters Denita and Delita had been to attend the prayer service at Valencia Church at 2.30 pm on February 26. The prayer service began at 3 pm.

At around 5 pm, Denita said told her sister that she wanted to go out of the church for sometime. At 7.30 pm, when the prayer service ended, the parents enquired about Denita with Delita, and learnt that the girl who had gone out had not returned.

Worried, the parents and other people at the Church searched the entire premises and surroundings, but could not locate Denita anywhere. Enquiries with relatives and friends also went in vain.

Joachim then lodged a complaint with Pandeshwar police.

Denita had reportedly worn a pink churidhar at the time of going missing. She has wheatish complexion and is 5.3 ft tall.

I am sad to hear this, it's surprising how Denita went out alone,
she could have taken her parents or sister with her. Hope we will have her back soon, let us pray for her safe return.
