'Vonthe Kaapuvana...?’ Tulu drama staged in Bahrain

Bahrain, Feb 19: ‘Vonthe Kaapuvana…?’, a comedy Tulu drama directed by Karunakar Padmashali, and enacted by the talented artistes of Karnataka State Award winning association, Bahrain Kannada Sangha was recently staged at South Park Hotel hall.

Over 25 artistes of the Sangha performed and entertained the crowd. The drama was staged under the guidance of music director Shashi Hejamadikodi who arrived in Bahrain from his hometown, with makeup by Sajeev and sound, lights handled by Ganesh Kundapur.

Artistes Dumanna Rai, Kamalaksha Amin, Karunakar PAdmashali, Naveen Shetty, Bhaskar Acharya, Varun Hegde, Praveen Shetty, Chetana Hegde, Poornima Jagadish, Shobha Ramprasad, Ashok Kateel, Lakshmeesh Kumble, C L Mendon, Shekar Bellary, Ram Prasad, Sudheer Acharya, Sunil Kadri, Jagadish Jeppu, Rajesh Shetty, Sameeksha Shetty, Rachana Hegde, Rajesh Shettigar, Aktar performed on the stage.

At the end of the programme, guests Anand Lobo, Naveen Shetty Rifa, president of Sangha Raj Kumar and secretary Rajesh Shetty honoured all the artistes, technicians and volunteers with mementos.

Secretary of entertainment committee Naveen Shetty thanked the sponsors and all those who worked for the success of the play.
